Hello 2014! I'm happy to be online and start a new leaf on this very day.
I have not been active on any blogs aside from posting pictures on my tumblr account. But I must say I am starting this as a journal of my life from now on. It's important that I document what's going on in my life to inspire not only myself but my friends and family. For the first day of the year, it's only appropriate that I start this year with a blog regarding my New Year's Resolution. I know, I know! New Year's Resolution are made to be broken. I think it is easy to sway away from what you promised specially for a whole year. Sure, we can do it for the first few months. But think about doing it for a whole year? Or even longer, for the rest of your life?? It's important to take it one step at a time. I would like to think that I can do this for a whole year. And that I can actually change and be able to incorporate my new year's resolution as part of my lifestyle. Hey, we can all dream! But seriously, nothing will happen if we don't try.

And that I can actually change and be able to incorporate my new year's resolution as part of my lifestyle. Hey, we can all dream! But seriously, nothing will happen if we don't try.
So, in light of the New Year, I have these following New Year's Resolutions:
1. Staying active and live a healthy lifestyle
2. Taking more pictures hopefully take at least one photo a day
3. Brushing up on my Chinese and maybe enhance my knowledge of Korean language (this crosses out learning a new language)
4. Read more books
5. Above all, maintain a good relationship with God.

Having the list of New Year's Resolution is not enough without actions. So by helping me do number 1 on my list, we have ordered a nice mountain bike made of aluminum to make it very light. We also ordered a nice bike rack that can hold two (2) bikes, so we can drive with our bikes and go on a bike trail.
Taking more pictures everyday doesn't have to be with an DSLR camera. At this day and age, having a phone without a camera is obsolete. I think there's only very few people who own a phone without a camera. So I can definitely keep number 2 on my list. I just have to make sure I don't forget taking pictures everyday!
I am half Chinese and I have studied in a Chinese school until I was 17 years old. I have most of what I've learned in my head but have no means to practice it. Naturally, I would forget them if I don't use them. In order to enhance this, I would probably get a nice Learn Chinese book or software or app like Rosetta Stone. It would be nice to order in a chinese restaurant in mandarin (instead of just saying Ni hao? or Xie Xie).
Read more books? Sure! I can do that. I will just either have to visit the library more often or even better borrow ebooks online and read it on my tablet or my phone. Looks like I got that covered. Only obstacle I may have is to actually read the book. Also, I may have to add on reading the magazines I actually subscribe to.
And yes, the last but surely the most important, is to maintain a good relationship with God. It may seem easy to say, but to be honest I think this is the most difficult one of all. I have been a person of faith since birth. I have been a good follower but not very obedient. Just by going to church, sometimes I fail in this. Laziness and poor time management get in the way. But this is really what I need working on. Like today for instance! Today is January 1st, Wednesday. Today is a church day. But with the weather being cloudy, it's making me feel lazy and want to stay home. Other than that, I really don't have any reason not to go. Yes, I am still sick and still have my occasional cough. But isn't that more reason to actually go to church so that when I pray, God will actually listen to me.
It is a struggle, but I know it shouldn't be.

I have about 365 days to work on this. And it starts today!
We will see how this goes.
